Job Description Overview of the role Reporting to the SCADA Manager, this role will be responsible for improving the functionality of SCADA alarming and controls throughout Coliban Water network. This will provide clarity to operational personnel ensuring Coliban Water delivers high quality water and wastewater services 24/7 and protect the environment. This role is a key component to the successful delivery of an operational control room providing real time monitoring of asset performance & compliance.
To ensure knowledge transfer and practical troubleshooting of SCADA alarming this person will work within the Control Room as it is established.
This role will be responsible for designing, implementing and testing alarms, control room operations, and reviewing existing SCADA processes at all control sites in collaboration with key stakeholders.
What we are looking for; Operational Water industry experience with detailed understanding of water, wastewater and network operations greater than 5 years. Ability to work collaboratively with operations field staff and office staff to ensure all performance requirements are met. Ability to project manage changes to multiple sites simultaneously and ensure project timelines are met. Well-developed problem-solving skills with an ability to think both logically and laterally to develop innovative ideas and solutions. The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 4 ($91,714 - $110,681 plus 11.5% superannuation) range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
