Job Description What you'd be doing in this role This role is focused on:
Coaching, mentoring, and growing a team of frontend and backend engineers. Working alongside the technical lead to solve ambitious technical problems. Collaborating with the Product Manager to understand and contribute to the product roadmap. Driving the planning and refinement of seasonal goals. Fostering a culture of collaboration and advocating for engineering needs. Owning and driving the delivery of large, cross-team initiatives and projects. You're probably a match if you have Experience in technical people leadership and mentorship of engineers. Commercial experience in a software development environment. Experience with Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar technologies. Grounded computer science fundamentals including concurrency and data structures. Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving skills. Experience with experimentation (beneficial but not mandatory). About the team The Messaging Surfaces team is responsible for user-facing components and infrastructure for marketing and transactional messaging.
About the role We're looking for an experienced manager to lead a team of 4-6 engineers to improve user engagement controls.
