Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer - Maritime Overview
We are currently recruiting a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to provide technical advice on a major naval / maritime project, primarily related to the design of mechanical and auxiliary systems.
You'll work for a renowned maritime engineering company.
Location: Canberra, ACT
Duration: Permanent
Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 + Super
Responsibilities
Assess mechanical system risks and provide technical solutions Review project deliverables and mechanical system calculations Collaborate on combat system cooling requirements and interfaces Advise on system performance, noise, and vibration Mentor project team members and build mechanical engineering capabilities.
Required Experience Degree in Mechanical Engineering Strong communication skills to engage with senior stakeholders.
Experience in HVAC, chilled water, and cooling systems Experience with firefighting and auxiliary systems desirable Ability to mentor and influence project teams.
Systems engineering knowledge through the full V-lifecycle NV1 Clearance or eligibility
