So, what does a day in the life of a Marshaller look like?
As a member of our airside team, this role will require you to work with the Driver to position the catering trucks to the aircraft and will have a strong focus on manual handling activities such as the loading and unloading of carts and equipment.
In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are: Marshall the Driver to position the truck to the aircraft in line with policies and procedures.Load and unload the trucks with carts, ovens and standard units.Prepare and pack catering equipment.Prepare, pack and check off on completed flight and deliveries at the kitchen production unit.Carry out basic serviceability and maintenance checks of vehicles and/or equipment.Perform general cleaning duties.Perform administrative documentation and reporting duties as required.Communicate in a professional and courteous manner with all stakeholders.Work in accordance with the Company's policy in relation to HALAL, HACCP, Food Safety and WHS.What do you need to be successful in securing this role? Possession or ability to attain an Aviation Security Identification Card.Flexibility in regard to working around flight schedules is essential (7 day per week operation).Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.A satisfactory police record and criminal history check.Good verbal and written communication skills.Ability to perform frequent manual handling tasks.What's in it for you?
