The Role & The Team As the Senior Pricing Economist, you will lead the development and implementation of robust regulatory pricing strategies and models. Your role involves data analysis, ensuring models are sound and defensible, and collaborating with stakeholders such as the ACCC. In this role, you are responsible for evaluating existing pricing structures, exploring alternatives, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance financial performance.
Communication is key in this role, and you will be responsible for communicating revenue opportunities to internal and external stakeholders through presentations and workshops. Additionally, you will lead and project manage the implementation of approved opportunities, ensuring outcomes are detailed and fit for purpose.
As a Senior Pricing Economist, you are responsible for delivering insightful reporting and analysis to the Regulatory Pricing Manager and the Finance leadership team, helping to drive value and support decision-making for optimal pricing and revenue outcomes. You will also oversee and enhance pricing processes, tools, and frameworks, fostering collaboration in the development, approval, and implementation of new pricing models.
This role sits within the Finance & Performance division and reports to the Regulatory Pricing Manager.
Minimum Requirements A tertiary qualification in business, preferably in economics or finance, with 15+ years of experience in an economic management role. Proficient in economic modelling and forecasting, with strong research, analysis, and exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities. Strong reporting, project management, and planning skills, with solid business acumen.
