The Opportunity We are looking for suitable candidates to join our Airport Team as an Airport Services Officer. The role is responsible for the delivery of high-quality customer-focused screening services while creating safe and memorable travel experiences for passengers and visitors transiting through East Kimberley Regional Airports (EKRA) in Kununurra and Wyndham.
This role is also responsible for:
Ensuring the safety, security, and integrity of the airport, aircraft, and travelers;Providing consistent and standard screening practices to ensure passengers and their possessions are checked and cleared according to legislation;Efficiently coordinating the flow of passengers through security screening;Demonstrating effective communication and sound decision-making;Controlling access to and exit from security-sensitive areas;Undertaking physical searches of passengers and baggage where required;Providing consistent high-quality customer service;Undertaking general cleaning tasks of terminal amenities and associated buildings;Maintaining a professional level of personal grooming and representing the Shire in a professional manner at all times.A current Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and Certificate II in Transport Security Protection are essential for this role; however, we are happy to provide the required training where necessary. You will also have demonstrated experience working in highly regulated environments and experience in the operation of screening equipment. You will have highly developed customer service skills, good communication skills, and the ability to deal with conflict and achieve resolution, sustaining concentration levels for extended periods.
