Cloncurry Shire Council is seeking an Airport Reporting Officer to ensure the safe and efficient operations of Cloncurry Airport. In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting daily inspections, maintaining compliance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulations, monitoring weather patterns, and liaising with pilots and airport users. You will also ensure that the airport grounds and facilities are well-maintained and presented to a high standard.

Flexibility: Monthly RDOs and opportunities for overtime with total annual earnings generally average $90,000+ (OT is not guaranteed ). What You'll Do:
Conduct daily inspections of the airside grounds, including runway and boundary checks, to ensure safe operations. Ensure compliance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and Department of Home Affairs regulations. Monitor weather conditions, issue NOTAMS (Notice to Airmen), and communicate with pilots. Maintain airport grounds, including mowing, lighting repairs, line marking, and general vegetation control. Carry out terminal and airside maintenance, ensuring everything is in top condition. Provide airside services such as marshalling, aircraft parking, and passenger assistance. Participate in airport emergency response exercises and wildlife management to ensure operational safety. What You Bring:
Experience in airport operations or a similar field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and handle sensitive situations. High attention to detail and the ability to maintain safety and compliance standards. A current unrestricted "C" Class driver's license and Senior First Aid/CPR certification. CASA-recognized Airport Reporting Officer and Work Safety Officer certification (or willingness to acquire). Airside Driver's License and Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (or ability to acquire). Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and a firearms license (or willingness to acquire).
