Job DescriptionOpportunity: Are you looking to make a difference to the community? The Albany Regional Airport is looking for a safety minded and customer focused individual to take up the role of Airport Reporting Officer.
This role is focused on the maintenance and development of the airport in line with the Airport Master Plan and will see you responsible for ensuring Albany Regional Airport is safe for aircraft, seen as a gateway to the region and maintaining the airport as a professional, compliant and enjoyable place to work and visit. Please note that this position is not responsible for check in and baggage handling.
Responsibilities include:
Performing aerodrome safety inspections, equipment checks, management of wildlife, building and maintaining relationships with airport lessees and reporting information to management, the City and regulatory bodies as required.Maintaining terminal security and monitoring and management of contractors when airside.POS operation and Administration of landing fees and charges.Acting as an Agent for Air BP by performing fuel quality checks and underwing refueling of aircraft in strict accordance to set safety standards.Performing minor airport maintenance duties and grounds keeping associated with runways and runway infrastructure.Updating processes, procedures, manuals and other governance artifacts as required.Assisting with training others and process improvement activities.If you are interested in some, or all, of these components then please apply. Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout You: A team player who is also able to work autonomously you will possess an interest in aviation and regulation. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, well developed communication skills, a strong focus on customer service and excellent time management and organisational skills. You possess a positive attitude and a growth mindset.

Ideally you will be qualified as an Airport Reporting Officer, however if you are prepared to gain this qualification and able to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card for the duration of employment you will also be considered.
If you have experience working in a similar position within the aviation industry, knowledge of WHS rules and requirements and are passionate about working for the City of Albany and have experience with training, process improvement or working in a regulated environment please apply.
