Our client has an exciting opportunity that has recently become available within their airfreight team, based at Brisbane Airport.
Reporting to the Airfreight Export Manager, this role is responsible for air freight export operations and customer service.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Communicating and liaising with clients, airlines, transport operators, and overseas agents - Advanced use of Cargo Wise for efficient freight management - Coordinating shipments for pickup and delivery with transport providers - Maintaining a high level of customer service at all times - Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email - Sourcing and negotiating rates, receiving bookings, and registering jobs - Preparing export documentation and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations - Accurate and timely preparation and issuance of invoices - Providing regular updates on shipment arrivals and status reports - Maintaining long-term, strong relationships with clients, service providers, overseas partners, and other key stakeholders - Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination of services The ideal candidate will possess: - A minimum of 3 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics - Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks - A positive, 'can-do' attitude, excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English), and a strong team-oriented mindset This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
