Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service is a not-for-profit organisation providing world class aeromedical, search and rescue services to those in need 24/7. The Service has almost 50 years of proud history, and operates from three bases in NSW (Tamworth, Belmont, Lismore) in addition to a Head Office and Deep Level Maintenance (DLM) facility based in Broadmeadow. About the Position The Service is seeking applications from experienced Aircrew Officers to join our highly skilled team conducting helicopter aeromedical and search and rescue operations to the highest standard of safety and professionalism.
This role will be a touring position from our Lismore base. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate lives within 1 hour of the Lismore base and be willing to travel to other bases across northern NSW to support the operational requirements of the Service.
About You To be considered for this position, you will be a qualified Aircrew Officer with a minimum of 500 hours experience and who is well regarded within the industry. In addition, you will:
Demonstrate completion of aircrew IFR theory, HUET training, CRM training, communication and radio procedures training Hold a CASA Class 2 medical Hold a senior first aid and advanced resuscitation certificate Hold a working with children check and relevant drivers licence Whist not essential, AW 139 experience, SAR/HEMS experience, NVG qualification, Winch endorsement and bronze medallion would be highly regarded.
A salary package will be determined in accordance with our Registered Enterprise Agreement.
