Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) - MechanicalLocation: DarwinThe opportunity: Airbus Australia has a permanent opportunity for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical (AME Mech) to join our team in sunny Darwin, supporting the ARH Tiger helicopter! The ARH Tiger is a two-seat, attack helicopter designed to perform a wide range of missions and is one of the most cost-effective weapon systems in the Australian Defence Force. The Tiger's stealthy design, agility, and integrated sensor and weapons systems make it ideal for operating in both the reconnaissance and fire support roles.The role:As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in our Darwin-based team, you will work closely with a friendly team of technical experts undertaking aviation maintenance activities to meet the needs of Airbus Australia Pacific (AAP) and their customers on the ARH Tiger. You will report to Team Lead Aircraft Line Maintenance and will be responsible for ARH maintenance activities undertaken by the Darwin Maintenance teams.At Airbus in Darwin, our AME's are primarily responsible for performing ARH maintenance activities while also conducting off-aircraft maintenance and supporting operational units in industry-specific tasks, such as advanced systems troubleshooting and rectification, and aircraft or component modifications. You can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks will include:Conduct maintenance in accordance with the relevant regulations.As part of a team, undertake aircraft maintenance activities within your authorization level as directed by your supervisor to ensure delivery of aircraft to meet the specified delivery schedule.Ensure that all aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance activities are conducted effectively, efficiently, and performed, supervised, inspected, and certified in compliance with either the Airbus Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) or 1 AVN MOE as applicable.Identify new opportunities for enhancement of maintenance services.About you:To be successful in this role, you will need to live the Airbus Values, work with passion and determination, and be able to work to tight deadlines in an environment of continuous improvement.
