Or a move to the mountains?Airbus has an opportunity for a passionate leader to join our Richmond Maintenance team as an Aircraft Maintenance Team Lead, in support of the C-130J Hercules.About the roleAs a key member of the Richmond Maintenance Team, this role is responsible for providing leadership, guidance and support to Aircraft Maintenance Engineers who ensure delivery of contracted maintenance outcomes at Richmond NSW in support of the C-130J Through Life Support Program.In this role, you will lead maintenance teams performing various maintenance activities ensuring the best optimisation of resources at all times.About the teamThe Airbus Richmond Maintenance team provides maintenance services to support the RAAF fleet of 12 C-130J aircraft.Typical maintenance activities at our Richmond site include:Base Maintenance including:servicing,inspection,rectification andrepair of major structural and mechanical componentsMajor avionics system upgrades and modificationsAdvanced troubleshooting and testing of aircraft mechanical and avionics systemsOff aircraft component repair and servicingAbout youTo be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.The skills and experience best suited to this role include:Demonstrated experience in technical or maintenance management in the aviation industryProven experience in people management with a focus on leading a united team in the achievement of measurable resultsDetailed knowledge of all facets of maintenance management, including maintenance management systems, planning, equipment and parts management, and maintenance delivery types (base, deeper, operational, flight line, components, etc.)Understanding of interdependencies between maintenance, support engineering, and supply chainDemonstrated track record in driving process improvement, balancing best practices with contractual/service requirements, and delivering on service targetsKnowledge of applicable aviation maintenance legislation and regulations (e.g. CASR, DASR), standardsYou must be eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance (Baseline Vetting) and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment criminal history checks and medical screening which may include drug and alcohol testing.Why usHere at Airbus we offer a holistic, competitive framework that recognises performance and rewards outcomes.
