Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) | Aircraft Maintenance Technician - MechanicalLocation: DarwinThe opportunity:Airbus is offering permanent full-time opportunities to join our team in sunny Darwin as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical (AME Mech) in support of the ARH Tiger helicopter. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in our Darwin Maintenance team, you will work closely with an inclusive team of technical experts undertaking aviation maintenance activities to meet the needs of Airbus Australia Pacific (AAP) and their customers on the ARH Tiger. This position is embedded within 1Avn and requires interaction with numerous stakeholders to identify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements and plays an important role in maintaining customer satisfaction.The position reports to Team Lead Aircraft Line Maintenance, through respective Aircraft Technical Leads, responsible for all ARH maintenance activities undertaken by the Darwin Maintenance teams. Darwin AME's are primarily responsible for performing ARH Maintenance activities while also conducting off-aircraft maintenance and supporting operational units in industry-specific tasks, such as advanced systems troubleshooting and rectification, and aircraft or component modifications.You can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks will include:Conduct maintenance in accordance with the relevant regulationsAs part of a Team, undertake aircraft maintenance activities within your Quality Authorisations as directed by your supervisor to ensure delivery of aircraft to meet the specified delivery scheduleEnsure that all aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance activities are conducted effectively, efficiently, and performed, supervised, inspected, and certified in compliance with either the Airbus Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) or 1 AVN MOE as applicableIdentify new opportunities for enhancement of maintenance servicesAbout you:To be successful in this role you will need to live the Airbus Values, work with passion and determination, and be able to work to tight deadlines in an environment of continuous improvement.
