The OpportunityThe Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team is seeking an experienced Aviation Maintenance (145 / MRO) Professional to support a world-class rotary-wing platform as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics. This role is based at RAAF Base Townsville in tropical North Queensland and supports the Chinook Integrated Support Services Program.Working side by side with our Australian Defence Force Customer, you will play a vital role in the maintenance of Boeing CH-47F Chinook avionics and electrical systems and associated equipment.ResponsibilitiesThe Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is responsible for the maintenance, modification, servicing, inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems, associated components, and associated equipment within the scope of their applicable trade, qualifications, training, competency, and Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) authorisation(s).The AME completes assigned tasks by undertaking a variety of AMO aircraft maintenance activities, sign-off, and Certification of those aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with the appropriate Authorised Maintenance Data (AMD). These maintenance activities require the application of trade qualifications and experience in the relevant trade category.
