Our engineering apprenticeship is a four-year program combining theory training with our RTO partners, in-house training courses, and practical on-the-job training in our Engineering businesses.
You'll rotate through relevant business areas applicable to the relevant trade, receiving hands-on training on Qantas Group and customer aircraft.

Typically your role will include:

Manufacturing and repairing parts to high tolerance for fitment to aircraft and aircraft components using drilling machines, lathes, milling machines, and cylindrical and surface grinding machines with computer numerical controlled machinery.

Working with materials such as Aluminium bronze, aluminium alloys, beryllium copper, stainless steel, titanium, high strength steels, chrome, and nickel.

You'll have:

A demonstrated mechanical aptitude with an eagerness to learn a hands-on trade.

A high level of motivation and passion to want to be part of the aviation sector.

Exceptional teamwork and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Good hand skills with the ability to use a variety of tooling.

Australian Citizenship or hold Australian Permanent Residency Status.

Ability to work all shift patterns.

Must be available to start work from early 2025.
