We are also a food processor of meat and poultry and other foods.
We are looking for an experienced Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to manage and maintain the cooling systems critical to our meat and poultry processing facility.
This includes a range of specialized refrigeration equipment such as spiral freezers, spiral chillers, blast chillers, and holding chillers/freezers.
This role ensures that all cooling systems are functioning optimally to maintain the highest food safety and product quality standards.

Key Responsibilities: Maintenance of Refrigeration Systems:
Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of spiral freezers, spiral chillers, blast chillers, and holding freezers to ensure they meet the required temperature specifications for meat and poultry processing.Air Conditioning and General Cooling System Oversight:
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot air conditioning systems across the plant, ensuring a controlled environment for personnel and food processing zones.Temperature Control and Monitoring:
Regularly monitor and adjust the cooling systems to ensure precise temperature control required for various stages of meat and poultry storage, food processing, and warehousing.
Maintain stable temperatures across all areas to comply with food safety and quality standards.Preventative Maintenance:
Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance on cooling systems to reduce the risk of unscheduled downtime and ensure continuous food processing operations.System Diagnostics and Troubleshooting:
Quickly identify and repair faults in the refrigeration systems to avoid any disruption in food processing or storage that could compromise product safety or quality.Repair and Installation of Replaced Equipment/Components:
Replace, repair, and install equipment/components such as compressors, motors, and gauges, ensuring equipment is correctly installed and functioning properly.Pipe Connections and Welding:
Bolt, solder, rivet, weld, and braze pipes to connect equipment, ensuring all connections meet required standards for safety and efficiency.Food Safety Compliance:
Ensure all cooling equipment complies with food safety regulations and maintain the hygiene standards necessary for food processing equipment.Collaboration with Food Processing Teams:
Work closely with food processing and quality assurance teams to understand cooling needs during various processing stages.Energy Efficiency Monitoring:
Identify and recommend opportunities for energy savings in the operation of cooling systems, contributing to the overall energy efficiency of the plant.Emergency Response:
Be on call to respond to urgent breakdowns or malfunctions, ensuring minimal disruption to food processing and storage operations.Documentation and Compliance Reporting:
