About the role
Our client, a leading consultancy specializing in built environment assessments, is seeking professionals like you to transition from the HVAC trade into a consulting role. The company is dedicated to improving the safety, sustainability, and quality of indoor spaces, and they are now looking for someone with your background to join their dynamic team.
As a Consultant in this role, you will focus on conducting assessments and audits in various areas related to indoor air quality and environmental safety. Some of the areas covered by the company are:
Air Testing - (Indoor or outdoor testing expertise highly valued)
Infection Control - (Healthcare settings)
Mould Investigations
Site Testing for Building Rating Schemes - (NABERS, Green Star, WELL)
Mechanical Services - (Utilizing your HVAC knowledge)
Water Testing & Chemical Auditing
Hazardous Materials Auditing
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive surveys and inspections of built environments.
Lead pollutant sampling projects, adhering to relevant standards.
Write detailed technical reports and provide actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
Stay current with industry standards and regulations.
50% of the role involves meeting with clients, conducting site visits, and performing audits, giving you hands-on experience in the field and the chance to apply your technical expertise directly in real-world environments.
About You:
You have a strong understanding of the built environment and its complexities.
Your HVAC experience gives you a solid foundation for field sampling and result interpretation.
You're comfortable using testing instruments and equipment.
Your technical and critical thinking skills are top-notch.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
A commitment to Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) practices.
You can work independently and manage your time effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A current driver's license.
