Your role As a member of Air Force Security, you'll be responsible for emergency response, risk management and protecting aircraft and infrastructure.
You'll support the provision of a secure and safe operating environment free of potential threats.
Your duties may include: Protective security tasks including protection of personnel, physical assets, and classified information Emergency response for incidents and accidents Traffic and crowd control Detainee and prisoner of war handling Protective security surveys and reviews Security risk management and threat assessment Operational security planning Security governance, compliance, and investigation Acting as the after-hours initial response contact for an airbase Working with military dogs to support security patrols, intruder detection and apprehension You'll be paid from day one to gain all the skills needed with extensive on-the-job training, all while living an adventurous lifestyle and making a difference to Australia.

Location Following training, you may be posted to one of the major Air Force bases around Australia, such as RAAF Base Amberley, Williamtown, or Edinburgh.

For this role, you must be at least 17 at the time of enlistment, an Australian Citizen, and have passed Year 10 with Maths and English as mandatory subjects.
