About the role
We currently seek to appoint a permanent part-time Education Adviser within our Education team working 2-3 days per week at our Head Office.
Normal work hours are 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the Training Manager, your key responsibilities would include:
Student Support Answering enquiries regarding education requirements of training programs and counselling industry queries; Providing academic guidance and support to students via the Study Assistance telephone line, email and online; Providing support and guidance to students who require additional assistance/ language, Literacy and Numeracy assistance.
Assessing Student Work Timely assessment of written workbooks and practice items Offering comprehensive and relevant feedback aligned with performance criteria Collaborating with administration to ensure seamless assessment submissions and participating in validation processes for accurate assessment decision Professional Development & Team Collaboration Writing articles, case studies, publications when needed; proofreading training material prior to publication and print Participate in team meetings Maintaining industry currency About You
Relevant qualifications in counselling or a related field.
Current Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training highly desirable (or willingness to undertake).
Training & assessing experience (preferably in the Vocational Education Sector).
A minimum of 2 years' recent experience (voluntary or paid) in a counselling context.
A desire to work in a training environment and genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential.
Well-developed communication skills.
Good level of computer literacy.
Salary level: Teacher/Tutor/Instructor (Level 9) under the Educational Services (Post-secondary Education) Award 2020 which is $35.55 per hour + 11% superannuation + 17.5% annual leave loading.
