About the role: What you need to know:
General Objective: Responsible for administrative and technical support to the underwriting, including, but not limited to collecting information, verifying, and entering data into relevant systems, preparing risk underwriting analysis documents, and performing general administrative functions. This role manages complex media accounts and works under moderate supervision.
Functional Responsibilities: Identify and resolve systems alerts and freezes into the quoting process to resolve discrepancies and avoid account conflicts. Analyze and prepare supporting documents for the review and evaluation of Subscription risk appetite. Support underwriters to follow up on brokers, quotes, pending proposals and any other charges that may be necessary. Provide customer service, proactively interacting with internal and external customers. Collaborate to prepare work orders and support information to issuance (new policies, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations) within the established deadlines. Review post-issuance policies/support and refer discrepancies to the responsible area for correction. Maintain updated files of all accounts, in accordance with the internal rules and procedures of the area. Ensure compliance with service level agreements and volume, accuracy and quality metrics. Technical Skills and Expertise:
Completed higher education.
Experience:
At least 1 to 4 years of experience and/or training related to insurance (Insurance Companies or Insurance Brokers) excellent knowledge of underwriting processes and procedures. People management experience is not required but is a plus.
Data Analytics: Strong understanding of quality performance data.
Business SLAs: Understanding of business expectations in terms of key deliverables.
MS Office Proficiency: Knowledge and ability to use data processing packages such as MS Office, advanced/intermediate Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Language: Spanish and intermediate understanding of English language.
