THE TEAM Working with Hicksons Information Technology team, this role is responsible for the research, design, development, testing, and maintenance of innovative and engaging digital solutions that support the firm's operations and client services.
The AI & IT Developer will work with various stakeholders in the firm to understand their needs and requirements, and apply advanced knowledge of web-based applications, prompt engineering, databases, programming languages, and frameworks to deliver high-quality and user-friendly solutions.
THE ROLE This role is a full time 12 month fixed term contract.
The firm operates out of offices in Sydney and Newcastle, however this role is also open to remote candidates within Australia.
In this role you will: Develop and integrate applications across Azure cloud and SaaS platforms with a strong focus on workflow automation.
Have a strong understanding of modern AI services and tools such as Cognitive Services, Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering principles and Azure cloud integration apps such as Logic & Functional Apps.
Build secure, reusable code and libraries for future use and optimise the application for maximum speed and scalability.
Implement security and data protection in accordance with relevant policies and protocols.
Contribute to the IT Team to deliver on new business initiatives and platform enhancements.
Assist in developing and implementing methodologies, standards, and best practices.
Contribute to project plans, user requirements, functional and technical specifications, the achievement of deliverables, and development of reports and evaluations.
Undertake research and analysis to provide technical insights and recommendations to enhance user journey experience and optimise digital capabilities.
Test and evaluate new programs and identify areas for modification in existing programs.
Deploy quality assurance procedures and troubleshoot technical issues.
Prepare reports on project specifications, activities, and status to Head of Technology & Innovation in a timely manner.
Work closely with project leads and stakeholders to obtain information on limitations or capabilities.
Perform additional duties as required.
