We achieve in 6 months what it takes our competitors 4 years to do.We've raised our $10M Series A led by Australia's largest VC firm, Blackbird Ventures and in the midst of our next raise, with an ambitious global go-to-market strategy starting with the US & UK.The RoleWorking closely with our CTO, you'll be an AI Automation Engineer who will design and develop intelligent systems capable of interpreting on-screen content from different systems, leveraging cutting-edge OCR or multimodal LLMs to automate user interactions.Your work will involve building APIs that can interpret screenshots, identify elements such as buttons or input fields, and take actions to achieve a desired goal.You will closely collaborate with frontend & backend engineers to ensure seamless integration and high performance.What you'll do:Design and implement software that captures and analyzes screenshots using OCR and multi-modal LLMs.Build systems that interpret screen data to extract key information such as input fields, buttons, and actions.Develop intelligent systems to determine the next logical action, leveraging AI models to achieve user goals (e.g., clicking a button, filling out forms).Collaborate with backend and frontend teams to build APIs that integrate with existing systems and enhance automation workflows.Ensure high-performance, reliable, and scalable code, with careful attention to data handling and system architecture.Design and implement data storage and retrieval systems using MongoDB, Redis, or similar databases for optimal performance and scalability.Write testable, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to best practices.Develop strategies for API versioning, performance optimization, and secure data handling.What we will look for:3+ years (preferred) of experience in software development.Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in building scalable backend systems.Experience with OCR, multi-modality LLMs, or similar technologies.Solid experience with MongoDB, Redis, or similar databases for real-time data management.Experience building and optimizing APIs for performance, security, and scalability.Strong problem-solving skills and a deep sense of ownership.Proven experience in integrating AI systems with third-party tools and applications.Competent with CI/CD pipeline tools and source control systems.Strong knowledge of security best practices for handling data and application-level vulnerabilities.Attitude is more important than experience so if you are a hungry, competitive and highly motivated SWE who has a knack for problem solving and building relationships, we want to hear from you.What do we believe in?We create unconventional solutions to difficult problems and we build them fast.
