About the role: Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and Principal Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive psychosocial support and counselling services to veterans and their families.
Duties for the role may include: Conducting assessment & developing and implementing treatment plans.
Facilitating therapeutic interventions, and advocating for the unique needs of our veteran clients.
Liaising closely with a network of key stakeholders, these may include – aged and community mental health services and other government and non-government organisations.
Participating in regular professional social work supervision with the SALHN Mental Health Services Principal Social Worker.
About you: Experience working with people who have a mental illness, their families and/or carers, in particular veterans.
Knowledge of Practice Standards for Mental Health Social Workers.
