The Opportunity -
In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.
We are seeking a Technical Officer (Avionics) who will join the AH-64 Apache team to support the most modern and capable configuration of the AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter.
The role is to be based in Enoggera, Brisbane with the Army customer in an integrated Attack Helicopter System Program Office (AHSPO).
As a Technical Officer (Avionics) within BDA you will:
Provide technical and task supervision in a single or cross-trade team, supporting both high priority activity and longer-term tasks.
Provide technical support for maintenance, repair and preventive measures that ensure continued safe and economic operations of electrical/avionics systems for customers.
Act as a conduit between engineering, maintenance and supply chain.
Communicate and work to articulate and resolve design and operational issues and concerns with Engineers.
Apply avionics technical knowledge to research, develop, test and evaluate operations, support programs, modifications, repairs and technical data.
Assist software, armament, and avionics engineering personnel with fault finding, troubleshooting and solution development.
Develop in-service correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
Develop, maintain and release electrical/avionics drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying company, industry and governmental standards.
Required AASB Engineering Authority: Logistics Engineer.
To be considered for the role you will have:
(Essential) Relevant Aerospace Engineering degree, 5 years+ relevant experience in a similar role.
(Desirable) prior defence service/defence aerospace experience.
Meet Defence security and ITAR requirements.
(Beneficial) completion of DASR 21, Part M, Type cert courses.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
