THE ROLE Join Driscoll's Australia in this exciting newly created role, where you will be at the forefront of cutting-edge research, supporting the development and execution of projects in new genetic deployment and special projects across all berry categories. This is your chance to showcase your technical prowess in growing techniques, plant types, and genetics, as you coordinate and roll out on-farm and Test Plot trials.
Reporting directly to the Applied Research Manager (ARM), you will be a key player in providing support and expertise for local applied research projects. This opportunity offers a platform for you to not only demonstrate your skills but also contribute significantly to the advancement of agricultural research in the berry industry.
Key Responsibilities: Overseeing on-farm trials and the reporting of trials within the regionConducting research data collection and production of technical reportsTrial analysis – growing new genetics and the deployment of new geneticsIdentifying continuous improvement opportunities and developing pragmatic solutionsAssisting ARM in the identification of new plant varietal types, sustainability trials, technology efficiencies, and specifications to meet local production requirements and needsPerforming regular site visits and ensuring accurate experimental processes are in placeSKILLS & EXPERIENCE To be considered for this role, applicants will need to demonstrate capabilities in the following:
Tertiary qualifications in Agricultural Science or a related fieldPrevious experience in agricultural research rolesProficiency in Microsoft SuiteDemonstrated agronomic knowledge from previous work or studiesAbility to travel interstate and internationally when requiredFlexibility with occasional meetings outside of traditional working hours (for global R&D meetings)The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $80,000.
