The role
As our Accountant, you'll perform regular accounting tasks to support the finance team and the CFO. You'll process a variety of financial transactions and maintain accounting records – including the general ledger, invoices, purchase orders, accounts, profits and loss sheets, and tax returns. The position will be based at our headquarters in North Adelaide, SA.
Skills and Experience
This position requires a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of accounting systems and procedures. Responsibilities will include maintaining daily worksheets and general ledger systems, maintaining and completing files and records as needed, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable duties. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will have completed an accounting degree and have at least 1.5 to 2 years' experience in Australian accounting in addition to the formal qualification. The candidate will also be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and have good numeracy and keyboard skills. Confidentiality is also a key competency for this role. Knowledge of and experience in the agricultural sector would be well regarded.
