The ideal candidate will oversee farm operations, assisting in areas such as research, crop and animal health, production, servicing, and marketing to ensure smooth operations.
The successful candidate will have a passion for working on a farm, strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently and precisely.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesCollaborate on research activities with scientists or technical specialistsCollect and collate research data and resultsCollect animal and crop samplesDevelop agricultural methodsIrrigate lawns, trees, or plantsSupervise pest and weed control operationsConduct surveys of insect and plant diseasesMeasure animal feed used in testingOperate laboratory or field equipmentPlan production processes including slaughtering and harvestingAssist in breeding plants and livestock to develop improved strainsPrepare and present demonstrations in agricultural settingsAssist in preparing laboratory and field equipment for site testingQualifications & ExperienceExperience in a similar position (Farm)Flexibility to work days/nights and weekendsPossession of a highly relevant AQF Certificate IV or AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job trainingAt least 2 years of post-qualification experienceAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with critical decisionsPreference for applicants with unrestricted work rightsAbove all else, a passion for working on a farmSalary: $74,000 - $80,000Job Publish: 19-11-2024Job Expire: 19-12-2024#J-18808-Ljbffr
