Agricultural Machinery Salesperson – Wimmera/Mallee

Full Time
We are seeking an experienced and motivated agricultural machinery salesperson to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and an understanding of the agricultural machinery industry. The salesperson will cover the Wimmera & Mallee Regions of Victoria as well as supporting our other salesman in Victoria, NSW and WA.
The role will also include being actively involved with management in product development, presenting and recommending new equipment opportunities and customer feedback opportunities and customer growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for selling a variety of agricultural machinery products, consolidating relationships with current clients, locating possible new clients, ensuring that orders are in stock and will be fulfilled, advising customers on installation and operation of equipment, negotiating sale prices and timelines, demonstrating the product or service being sold, recommending changes in procedures to customers. Formidable local knowledge of the Wimmera/Mallee would be an advantage but not essential.
Responsibilities:

Be the first point of contact for customer enquiries, both new and old.
Sell a variety of agricultural machinery products.
Locate possible new clients or opportunities.
Ensure that inventory orders are in stock and will be fulfilled.
Advise customers on installation and provide technical support on the operation of equipment.
Demonstrate the product or service being sold.
Recommend changes in procedures or upgrades to customers.
Organise customer demonstration events and attend potential showcase events.
Undertake in-field repairs if required.
Be available to attend staff meetings and training, based at the Head Office (Ballarat)

Requirements:

Experience in Agribusiness – Sales, Parts, Service or Farming/On-Farm Experience
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organisational and time management skills
Good general administrative and computer skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Be self-motivated, have high integrity and strong ambition.
Drivers Licence (Relative experience operating Agricultural machinery, would be an advantage.)
