The Agency Security Advisor reports to the Chief Information Officer, in the management of the NACC's protective security measures, including functions and arrangements as required by the Australian Government's Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF). The role has people, program, and stakeholder management responsibilities that will require you to maintain a range of internal and external stakeholder relationship networks.
The key duties of the position include: Ensuring the NACC complies with the mandatory requirements of the PSPF, including the preparation of the annual PSPF compliance report for the Minister.Manage the development and application of the NACC's Security Governance Framework, including the suite of policies, plans, procedures, and guidelines that support the NACC's protective security obligations in accordance with the PSPF.Ensuring that the NACC's systems and processes for mitigating security risk are appropriately tailored to the NACC's operating environment.Manage the daily operation of contracted security guards in their provision of security services, including reception and security guarding, administrative support services, surge capacity, and security operation room monitoring services.Provide guidance to NACC staff and develop instructional materials on all aspects of protective security, including development and presentation of security awareness training.Prepare high-quality written correspondence and submissions to support the effective delivery of protective security measures, projects, and initiatives.Supervise a small team, including performance and development management.The NACC is a small agency. From time to time, you may be asked to undertake tasks that are outside your usual span of duties but that are within the range of your capabilities.
