Transam Argosy is part of the Neptune Pacific Direct Line (NPDL) group which includes a network of shipping agencies throughout the South Pacific. Neptune Pacific Direct Line (NPDL) is experiencing a period of significant transformation. Formed in 2020, Neptune Pacific Line acquired Pacific Direct Line, bringing together two of the South Pacific's top shipping and logistics companies to support the full supply chain of our customers in the region. NPDL is part of The Wonderful Company headquartered in Los Angeles, CA. Job Description We're searching for a passionate and energetic Agency Manager

to take the helm of our Norfolk Island operations! In this pivotal role, you'll lead and drive the success of the Norfolk Island entity while collaborating closely with our Country Manager, Australia (CM) to oversee and optimize daily operations across multiple agencies. Your mission is to ensure our processes, systems, and resources are firing on all cylinders, propelling the NPDL organization to new heights of success and growth! Here is some of what you will be doing:

Drive Outstanding Results:

Lead the charge in sales strategy, planning, execution, and revenue generation while optimizing costs. Master Debtor Management:

Take command of overall agency debtor management, ensuring smooth cash flow and financial stability. Own the P&L:

Be accountable for the EBITDA and overall direction of the Norfolk Island business. Shape the Future:

Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning that aligns with our long-term vision. Lead Negotiations:

Make key pricing decisions and lead high-stakes negotiations with customers. Execute with Excellence:

Ensure all operations align with Principal requirements. Manage with Impact:

Oversee all Norfolk Island business units, driving exceptional performance. Stay Compliant:

Ensure the company meets all legislative requirements. Competitive Edge:

Keep the Country Manager (CM) informed about competitive activities and market trends. Cultivate Relationships:

Manage VIP accounts and drive business development. Handle Payroll Like a Pro:

Process weekly payroll using MYOB. Financial Stewardship:

Manage month-end receipting and financial reporting. Ensure Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to WHS standards and meet all requirements set by regulatory bodies. Report with Clarity:

Prepare comprehensive reports and maintain documentation. Champion Performance:

Assist the CM in driving performance improvement initiatives. Uphold Standards:

Ensure the agency meets all legislative requirements. Cruise Ship Liaison Extraordinaire:

Coordinate with incoming cruise ships on Norfolk Island. Take on New Challenges:

Carry out additional duties as directed by the CM.

Qualifications Here's what you'll bring to the table:

Degree in Business or Equivalent:

A solid foundation in business, or equivalent experience in a senior position. Industry Expertise:

At least 10 years in the shipping industry or a similar role. Trade Management Mastery:

Over 5 years of proven trade management experience at a senior level. Leadership Excellence:

5+ years in a leadership role, with a minimum of 3 years managing teams. Results-Driven and Resilient:

Thrive on challenges and excel under pressure. Safety First:

A strong commitment to health and safety. Integrity and Work Ethic:

Demonstrate unwavering integrity and a strong work ethic. Financial Savvy:

Previous experience in payroll and budgeting. Regulatory Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of legislative and WHS state requirements. Inspirational Role Model:

Outstanding negotiation and networking skills. Clean Driver's License:

A full, current, and clean driver's license is required. Sea-Ready:

Not prone to seasickness, as this role involves time at sea.

This is a full-time permanent role based in Norfolk Island requiring occasional travel to the Pacific islands. Flexibility is required to work extended hours including weekends, public holidays, etc. In return we offer a challenging and stimulating environment.
