About The Role Do you want to make a difference in the Aged Care community? Deaf Connect's Ageing Well program has just launched in Victoria! You can empower people who are deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing to live the life they want and achieve their goals, from the everyday to the extraordinary.
We are seeking a passionate Support Worker with Auslan skills to help us deliver the best support for our over 65 members of the Deaf and hard of hearing community in Geelong and Greater Melbourne.
Work with people to support:
Personal nutrition and health
Social connection and activities
Help in and around the house
Safety and Wellbeing
About You In your application, let us know if you have these key skills and experience:
Relevant work experience or Certificate III in Community Services (Disability/Aged Care/Community Services) or other relevant qualification
Ability to work flexible shifts
Current Driver's License

Experience working with Deaf people
Experience working with older people and an understanding of the support needs of aged people
