Job Description:Full time, permanent Grade 4 Mental Health NurseMental Health Community roleExcellent benefits including salary packagingAbout the Role You will be working as a clinician in APATT, the community aged mental health team and will be responsible for comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment.
You will be visiting clients at home, providing intake and triage, crisis support, assessment and case management, reviewing risk and providing support to reduce the impact of illness and enhance independence for our clients and carers in a variety of community and residential settings.
You will provide discipline-specific support and advice to the team.
We utilise a cooperative and recovery-focused approach across the continuum of care to achieve optimal outcomes for consumers.
Classifications for this position will range from Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 4 NP75 - NP77 ($112,465 - $121,113 per annum)
Your Contribution Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, or a specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program, or a specialist post-basic course of training which led to registration as a Division 3 NurseCurrent registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)5 years' post-qualification clinical experience within Mental Health and/or aged care clinical services including case management and care coordination experienceDemonstrated passion for achieving the best clinical practiceRelevant knowledge of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtainWhat We Offer A focus on wellbeing initiatives, with regular events and programsConfidential, solutions-focused employee counsellingA healthy work/life balance encouraged.

SVHM Mental Health service consists of a variety of inpatient, specialist and community programs and utilises a strengths/recovery-oriented approach.
The St Vincent's Aged Person's Mental Health Service comprises community care via the Aged Psychiatry Assessment and Treatment Team (APATT), inpatient care via Normanby Unit (20 bed acute mental health inpatient care), continuing care via the Psychogeriatric Nursing Homes (PGNHs) and early intervention via the Healthy Ageing Service (HAS).
