About the role  They are seeking applicants with experience working in an aged care environment and can demonstrate the characteristics and skills we're seeking from other areas of experience and who have the following characteristics in Young, NSW  Highly empathetic  Great team player  Who gets things done  Organised  Highly personable  Flexible  Passionate about delivering the highest level of care and service to our elderly residents.  You will work together with your colleagues to create an environment where residents retain a level of activity and independence, and are able to participate in a variety of activities and events according to their own interests and wishes.  About the location Young is a substantial rural service centre with a population of 10,500+ .  Visitors have noted that for a small town it has a lot of big town amenities. A good shopping district, including several major chain stores. Good employment prospects. A substantial youthful population, three primary schools, two high schools, a tafe. You will also find sporting facilities, across a very broad range of sports. Minimum Qualifications  Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Division 1  High level of interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)  Excellent clinical skill base and knowledge of legislation within Aged Care  Experience in leading and supervising teams of people  Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care and ability to work in a team environment  Provide a valid NDIS clearance check Proof of vaccination status consistent with public health orders (includes but is not limited to COVID-19 and seasonal influenza vaccination compliance requirement)
