Are you passionate about aged care, supporting the elderly and have a great attitude to work? Then you are what we are looking for. We are a well established, over 55's Independent Living Retirement Village seeking an experienced aged care worker to join our friendly team within the role of Village Manager. This is a critical role for the organisation. You will be responsible for the overseeing of the day to day running's of the Village, whilst also having your finger on the pulse of the Village vibe and Residents' well being and concerns. Your main priority will be to provide a safe, friendly and well-rounded Village for our Residents to live in whilst ensuring that the Independent Living status of the Village is adhered to. The role involves: Provide a friendly & welcoming environment throughout the Village, whilst promoting Village activities and functions and the use of the Village Centre. Oversee the running of the Village and the Residents to ensure the safety & well being of all residents. Provide emotional and social support to residents when needed. Attend to the wellbeing of the residents and liaise with their families where necessary. Visit new residents and assist in completing Village forms and induction to Village Life through our welcome notes. Keep all residents' files and information current and up to date. Attend to residents if their personal care alarm is activated. Perform testing of residents' personal care alarm units on a monthly basis. Liaise with the Village Owners Corporation and Residents Committee when required to ensure all parties are working together for the benefit of the Village and its residents. Liaise with the company General Manager to ensure Village procedures and standards are being maintained. Manage 5 casual staff members and supervise our Full Time reception staff member. Prepare the staff roster on a monthly basis. Assist with planning and booking of resident functions (when applicable). You will not be

responsible for the Village Budget or cash flows.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following: Minimum of 5 years experience in Aged Care (preferably in a similar role). Current First Aid certificate. Certificate III in Aged Care. Full Covid-19 vaccination. An easy-going, nurturing nature. Ability to work unsupervised & respond to various situations as they arise. Ability to manage staff members and keep an open & communicative relationship between staff. Ability to think outside the box in order to encourage residents' participation and involvement. The ability to engage residents in conversation and interaction to help promote their health and well being. Be well presented with a professional and friendly manner.
