About the role: Come and join the GV Health Rural Allied Health Team (RAHT), a team with a well-renowned supportive workplace culture with an opportunity to work alongside experienced Occupational Therapists. In this role, you will work autonomously, undertake a varied and diverse workload, and provide interventions in predominantly home-based settings, making a true difference to our client's independence and well-being. There is no nursing home work.
The Occupational Therapist will provide person-centred care with an opportunity to:
Travel across the Goulburn Valley region working in home and clinic settings. Work with clients, carers, and families to provide practical solutions to promote independence and safety at home. Develop goals and care plans to assist clients in remaining at home and active in their local community. Complete equipment prescriptions, home modifications, and advise on pressure care management/seating. Develop in-home and community-based therapy programs. Work with a diverse range of clients and health conditions. Participate in student training programs. Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives. We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with:
Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent and eligibility for membership of a professional association. Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist. Knowledge of the delivery of Occupational Therapy services within home, group, and community settings, including home modifications and prescription of assistive technologies. Knowledge of the service system and ability to liaise and advocate across the full spectrum of health and community care. A Clear/Satisfactory result from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or willingness to obtain before commencement. Additional Benefits:
