About the role Support our Aged Care clients to remain living independently in their own homes through the provision of basic domestic assistance and personal care support across Urangan, Pialba, Scarneess, Kawungan, Wondunna & surrounds. This permanent part-time position requires a minimum commitment of 3 days per week, with flexible hours available, including options during school hours if needed.
The role operates Monday to Friday, with no evenings, weekends, or sleepovers required.
Shifts are scheduled between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, with travel to various clients throughout the day.
We are looking for candidates with a full, unrestricted Australian driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
Key Responsibilities Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light cleaningPersonal Care including grooming and showeringCommunity access to medical appointments and social activitiesAssistance with tasks and routines outlined by an approved medical professionalBuild rapport and collaborate effectively with clients to establish positive relationshipsSkills & Experience A current First Aid Certificate and CPR CertificationAn Australian Driver's Licence and ownership of a registered vehicle with comprehensive car insuranceCertificate III in Individual Support or other relevant qualification and experience (preferred)Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationshipsPassionate about making a positive impact in our ageing communityTo be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
