About Christian Brethren Community Services
CBCS is a respected and trusted not-for-profit Christian organisation specialising in providing accommodation and residential care. We actively advocate for the right of every senior to age in comfort and dignity, wherever and however they live. We are a values-based organisation whose mission is to be connected to the community by being inclusive, valuing all people and demonstrating Christ's love through a continuum of quality care.
Our Cardiff Heights facility, Groves House, is a first-class facility providing a caring environment important to the wellbeing of our seniors and their families. This fully accredited purpose-built facility is home to 60 residents grouped into four households.
Like all CBCS facilities, Groves House delivers ageing-in-place, respite, dementia, and palliative care. We offer our services with care and kindness to people of all faiths and using our professional skills we strive to provide the highest quality care for our elderly population.
We are looking for a special kind of person - a CBCS kind of person. Someone who puts compassion, connection, and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager, Residential Care, you will lead the team delivering quality care of our residents. You will provide hands-on operational management of the facility including overseeing professional nursing staff, carers, and support staff. You will also have budgetary, facility maintenance, and compliance responsibility. Focusing on building a quality team with motivated and caring staff, you will ensure you have the right team around you to deliver outstanding care to our residents.
About You
You will have:
Commitment to align with the vision, mission, and values of CBCS. At least 3 years of experience in operational management within a Residential Aged Care Setting. Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA. Demonstrated understanding of the AN-ACC assessment process. An understanding of compliance with regulatory requirements. An effective team leader who can motivate and encourage their team. Proven competency in operational planning, strategic and innovative thinking, resource management, rostering, and budget management. Demonstrated financial management skills, including budget preparation and management. A collaborative, compassionate approach to work and the ability to inspire a team. Commitment to quality improvements, WHS principles, and education. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders. You will be able to:
Encourage a sense of mutual accountability in a team setting that motivates individuals to do their best for each other. Accept responsibility and maintain ethical principles even in challenging circumstances. Manage safety and risk by understanding, encouraging, and carrying out the principles of integrated safety management. Manage resources by navigating quickly and effectively resolving problems and obstacles, even when complex and unique circumstances occur. Working with us
As a Christian organisation, our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we support them to grow and develop to be their best through our strong commitment to learning, flexibility, great benefits, and a positive culture of teamwork and cooperation.
You will have autonomy in the role but will have the support from a strong, engaged, and seasoned regional leadership and corporate support team. The role offers a generous remuneration package in line with experience, skills, and qualifications.
We can offer you:
Competitive salary and access to not-for-profit salary packaging options. Workplace education and support to enhance your skills. Staff wellness programs and Employee Assistance Program. Opportunities to receive bonuses for referring friends to join us. To be considered for this role you must have:
