Location: Far North Coast (Travel required within areas such as Casino, Grafton, and Ballina)
Flexible hours and days: Monday to Friday, Full time or part time; no shift work!
Pay rate: $47.66 per hour + superannuation

ACAS positions offer flexibility and autonomy and are based across both metropolitan and regional locations, with most roles involving local travel within each region. We have an exciting opportunity for an Aged Care Assessor to join the team.
What will your role look like? You will be conducting assessments to identify and meet the needs of clients and refer to appropriate home support services.
Day to day this includes:
Collaborating with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams as requiredWorking collaboratively with colleagues to promote a supportive and positive team cultureConducting accurate aged care assessments using the Integrated Assessment Tool (IAT) to determine client needs and eligibility for home support servicesReviewing support plans to meet client's changing support needsWorking effectively both autonomously and as a member of a broader team in delivering to key performance indicators within identified timeframesMaintaining currency of knowledge relating to aged care services both funded and non-fundedAssisting with continuous improvement frameworks to regularly evaluate and enhance assessment processes and outcomesTo be successful in this role you'll need: An Australian Driver's license and access to a registered, insured vehicleExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalCommitment to excellence in customer service, both to internal and external stakeholdersExcellent planning, organising, and problem-solving skillsPrevious knowledge or work experience in the Aged Care System preferredCompletion of training requirements as specified under the My Aged Care workforce learning strategy 2023Demonstrated understanding of and to undertake person-centred, goal-directed, strength-based holistic assessmentsDemonstrated understanding of work health safety principles including the required analytical skills to identify and effectively manage risksWillingness to apply for a Police CheckWhat we can offer you: Join a highly engaged dynamic team where you'll be supported to grow and take on new challengesMake a real difference in the lives of Older Australians – play a critical role in assessing their needs and ensuring they get the right careBuild valuable skills and sharpen your expertise to help you grow a career in aged care servicesFlexibility and fulfillment where you can prioritise work/life balance, build strong relationships with your colleagues and make an impact on clients and their familiesAged Care Assessment Services (ACAS) operate independently of Catholic Healthcare and play a pivotal role in ensuring that Older Australians are assessed for the care and services they truly need.
