Due to recent business growth, Laminex AU currently have an opportunity available for an enthusiastic, self-starting Afternoon Shift Pick Packer to join their close-knit team in our South Australia Distribution Centre located in Wingfield, Adelaide. This position will mainly involve manual pick packing, with about 10% forklift duties – the successful candidate must be happy to do manual tasks. Working afternoon shift, Monday-Friday in a full-time position, your primary responsibilities will be loading and unloading of their trucks, racking and general forklift duties. Responsibilities of Afternoon Shift Pick Packer Job:Order Fulfillment: Picking:Accurately selecting and picking items from designated locations in the warehouse based on customer orders or internal stock transfer requests.Packing:Properly packaging picked items according to company guidelines, considering factors like weight, fragility, and labeling requirements.Verifying:Checking the accuracy of picked and packed items against orders or transfer requests before dispatch.Warehouse Operations: Maintaining warehouse organization:Keeping the picking area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.Operating equipment:Safely operating equipment like pallet jacks, forklifts (if licensed), or other relevant tools and machinery used for picking and packing tasks (depending on the workplace).Stock rotation:Participating in stock rotation practices, such as placing newer items at the back and ensuring proper expiration date management.Reporting:Identifying and reporting any discrepancies, damages, or missing stock to the appropriate supervisor.
