After Hours Clinical Nurse Specialist (AHCNS) Clinical Nurse Specialist, Grade 2 Internal Rotation: Afternoon Shifts, Night Shifts, and 12-hour day shifts at weekends and on Public HolidaysFull and Part Time Hours availableNorthern Beaches Hospital is seeking senior nurses to lead patient care in the after-hours period. The role plays a key role in ensuring that our patients receive the right care, at the right time, by the right person. The AHCNS works very closely with the medical staff and has a key role in the medical handover.
The position supports nursing and medical staff, reviews all patients discharged from Intensive care, and any patient identified as at risk of deterioration. The role responds to and takes a lead role with the senior medical staff in all clinical emergency calls.
You will be an experienced registered nurse, clinically competent, with a broad range of clinical competence. You are able to recognise the deteriorating patients, implement interventions and appropriately escalate in a timely manner. Your communication skills must be of a very high standard, and you are comfortable communicating with all members of the healthcare team.
Reporting to the Clinical Coordinator, you will be well supported and developed by the senior nursing team, Senior Medical Staff and the broader leadership team.
