Position Overview
The AFL NSW/ACT Coach Education Coordinator role will deliver all elements of coach education including facilitation, assessment, mentoring, and reflection for designated coaches in the various AFL NSW/ACT networks. A major focus will be to support community club (volunteer) coaches with a specific and tailored approach developed in conjunction with clubs, to drive coaching standards in line with the AFL National Curriculum, resources, and framework. The role will have a customer-facing approach, where program delivery must support maximum attendance of volunteer coaches, much of which will be delivered out of normal business hours. Key Performance Indicators
Drive sustainable coaching philosophies and programs in community clubs and schools, largely through developing Club Coaching Charters and/or Coaching Handbooks. Facilitation of key coaching programs and courses to support increasing the diversity and number of our community coaches. Ensure coaches have access to: Coaching resources available (e.g., LearnAFL, RM Coach, Junior Coaching Curriculum) Learning opportunities available (e.g., Accreditation, online modules, face-to-face workshops, self-directed learning) Leading coaching behavioural change and creating a 'player centred' environment are key focuses of coaches. Facilitate coaches' meetings to provide an environment where coaches share ideas and learn from each other, discuss coaching directions, and provide learning opportunities. Support all elements of the NSW/ACT coaching team plan and other business priorities as required. Key Relationships

Silver Coach AFL Accreditation (Level 2) 10 years + experience in coaching across a range of age groups, genders, and experience Sound coaching expertise and philosophy Ability to work in a flexible work environment and manage weekend and after-hours work Desirable
Gold Coach AFL Accreditation Bachelor (University) Degree or higher Coach Developer Training Modules (e.g., UK Open University) Other industry high-level leadership and mentoring Child Safety Standards
