They are looking for a Technical Aerospace Lead who will manage a small team, oversee mechanical and electrical design, and drive product development in the aerospace sector. For interstate candidates, one thing to note is that this role requires full relocation to Melbourne.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage a team of engineers in the design and development of aerospace products.Oversee mechanical and electrical design processes, utilizing CAD, CAM, and FEA tools.Direct a team in electrical design and ensure seamless integration with mechanical components.Utilize 3D printing, 3-axis machining, 5-axis machining, and composites for weight reduction in product design.Deliver products to market, demonstrating a hands-on approach and a strong will to "get stuff done."Focus on reducing the weight and size of aerospace products through innovative engineering solutions.Qualifications:Must Have:Engineering Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.Proven experience in mechanical design and hands-on use of CAD, CAM, and FEA tools.Experience in electrical design and team direction.Ability to articulate the role of advanced manufacturing techniques in aerospace design.Demonstrated ability to deliver products to market.Strong understanding of the aerospace technology industry, particularly in mechanical engineering.Highly desirable:Program management or coordination experience.Advanced degree (PhD/Masters) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.Involvement in extra-curricular activities showing technical leadership and initiative.Understanding of control theory, vibrations, and other relevant technologies.Nice to Have:Pilot or RPAS Pilot certification.Experience with sensors (e.g., photography, drone operation, military sensor operation).Experience with 3D simulation or hardware-software integration environments.Please reach out to ****** for more info.
