2-year contract position at the City of Ballarat The Role Ballarat Airport is a key piece of transport infrastructure servicing the region and plays a vital role for local aviation businesses, aircraft operators and the emergency services. Aerodrome Reporting Officers (ARO), who support the Airport Manager, are responsible for the continuous maintenance of Airport operational safety and integrity . These positions are part time on a two (2) year maximum term contract, with a minimum of 3 hours per week.
About You You will hold, or be willing to complete the training to obtain:
Certificate III in Aviation (Aerodrome Operations) Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC) Current Victorian Drivers Licence. Preference will be given to applicants with:
Demonstrated experience in providing a range of safety, security and emergency services in a highly regulated environment The successful candidate will also demonstrate:
Ability to evidence or acquire the requisite skills and knowledge Leadership qualities to champion, model and promote City of Ballarat values Capacity to perform the required physical and psychological demands of the role Willingness to comply with the Airport's Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP) Satisfactory completion of a Victoria Police check An interest in aviation and safety management To Apply To apply for this position please click on the Apply button and submit your application.
