2-year contract position at the City of BallaratThe RoleBallarat Airport is a key piece of transport infrastructure servicing the region and plays a vital role for local aviation businesses,
aircraft
operators and the emergency services. Aerodrome Reporting Officers (ARO), who support the Airport Manager,
are responsible for
the continuous maintenance of Airport operational safety and integrity
. These positions are part time on a two (2) year maximum term contract, with a minimum of 3 hours per week.About YouYou will hold, or be willing to complete the training to obtain:Certificate III in Aviation (Aerodrome Operations)Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC)Current Victorian Drivers Licence.Preference will be given to applicants with:Demonstrated experience in providing a range of safety, security and emergency services in a highly regulated environmentThe successful candidate will also demonstrate:Ability to evidence or acquire the requisite skills and knowledgeLeadership qualities to champion, model and promote City of Ballarat valuesCapacity to perform the required physical and psychological demands of the roleWillingness to comply with the Airport's Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP)Satisfactory completion of a Victoria Police checkAn interest in aviation and safety managementTo ApplyTo apply for this position please click on the Apply button and submit your application.
