What you'll contribute to: An exciting opportunity has recently become available for an Aerodrome Reporting and Maintenance Officer to join our Longreach Aviation team. This position is diverse with a focus on ensuring the aviation safety and security integrity of the Airport and effective maintenance and operation of LAPL grounds and associated infrastructure as directed by the Airport Manager.
How you will make an impact? We are looking for an individual who is a self-starter with a strong safety mindset and ability to work individually. Candidates must possess a current Driver's Licence and have the ability to obtain a Firearms Licence, Authority to Drive Airside, and an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
The successful applicant will have excellent organisational, time, task, planning and priority management skills. A general understanding of laws and regulations will see the right candidate be a success. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement skills and be comfortable working in a structured working environment.
The ARMO's tasks include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring the safe and secure operation of the airside environment in accordance with relevant regulations and company SOPs.Supporting all stakeholders and airline partners by maintaining aerodrome serviceability.Auditing, enforcing, and reporting on safety and security issues at the Airport.Conducting regular patrols and surveillance airside on Airport in accordance with the requirements of the Aerodrome Manual.Repairing and maintaining airport infrastructure in accordance with relevant operating and safety standards.Undertaking routine scheduled maintenance tasks.Investigating and monitoring safety and security breaches and initiating appropriate actions.Monitoring and controlling access to the Airside.What we offer you?
