Our growing team of aviation specialists provides support to our clients in the areas of aerodrome design, project management and construction, maintenance, technical inspections and aerodrome surveys, operational readiness, airport security, training, regulatory compliance, audits, and ongoing daily operations.
About the role AMS has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Compliance Specialist to join our Perth based Compliance team, which is an integral part of our broader Technical Services Team. Working primarily from our main office, located amongst the action at Perth Airport, this position includes regular travel to regional and remote areas of Australia. You will play a vital role supporting both our internally managed aerodromes and our broad client base to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance and industry best practice at their aerodromes. In close collaboration with other AMS teams, you will assist and lead the development, implementation and monitoring of compliance programs and undertake a variety of standalone projects.
About you You understand the vital importance of aerodromes to the aviation industry, and you already know this niche sector has a lot going for it! AMS will provide ongoing training and professional development to support this next step in your career, but you'll already be off to a great start if you have previous experience in one or more of the following areas:
Airport management, airline ground operations, quality assurance, auditing, emergency planning/management and/or safety/risk management. Development of detailed technical reports, policies, procedures and/or operational manuals. The range of skills you will need to be successful in this role include:
An understanding of the legislative and regulatory framework applicable to aerodromes. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Sound technical knowledge and the drive for continued learning. The ability to work autonomously and as a valued member of interdisciplinary teams. A collaborative and open communication style that enables you to engage effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. A solution focused mindset. You will need to hold a current and valid manual driver's licence and be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
