Job Description AECOM is expanding its dynamic Civil Infrastructure business in Canberra and are looking for a Principal Civil Engineer to join our team.
Working with a high performing team of engineers, scientists, designers and drafters with a passion for digital delivery, you will be supporting the team in winning, managing and delivering projects across a diverse range of transport, urban development and civil infrastructure projects.
This role is tailor-made for an individual who is passionate about developing into a future leader, who loves working with people and has the passion to mentor and lead teams aligned with AECOM's vision to build a better world.
Some Responsibilities:
Providing leadership, technical assessment and design for multi-disciplinary project teams in delivering site investigations and masterplanning for future development, concept designs and detailed designs, across a broad range of civil infrastructure projects. Being proactive to deliver high-quality and timely technical outputs that meet client expectations. Actively contributing to the growth of AECOM's business through client relationships and work winning. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across AECOM and contributing to our high-performing, engaged and supportive team culture. Mentoring and supporting colleagues to foster learning and knowledge sharing within the team. Qualifications As a Principal Civil Engineer, you will be engaged and excited by delivering civil infrastructure, development and transport projects and the successful integration of varied specialist and multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
What are we looking for from you?
Extensive consulting experience on Civil Infrastructure projects across the design and development lifecycle including feasibility and site investigation through to detailed design documentation. Design experience that demonstrates the development and evaluation of options to arrive at a preferred solution in conjunction with clients and stakeholders. Demonstrated experience working to ACT Government and/or TfNSW standards. Technical skills and experience in civil infrastructure projects including general earthworks and grading, roads and intersections, stormwater drainage, water and sewer reticulation, preparation of specifications and Bills of Quantities and temporary traffic management and traffic control devices. Good verbal and written communication skills are required for preparation of technical reports, bid preparation and interaction with clients and project team members. Project or team management experience and a commitment to exceptional client service. The confidence to utilise your reputation in bringing business to AECOM through networking and delivering high quality work.
