With extraordinary opportunities ahead, the Chamber is seeking a dynamic and experienced Advocacy and Regulatory Strategy Manager to lead their external engagement program and champion the interests of the state's business community.The Opportunity:Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for influencing change and championing the interests of the business community? As the Advocacy and Regulatory Strategy Manager, you will report to the General Manager External Affairs with the remit to develop and provide strategic policy advice and analysis to represent business interests to government and other key stakeholders. This role is responsible for conceptualising and producing high quality, data-driven and evidence-based written communications materials, ensuring the Chamber's policy agenda is relevant and future-focused and informs the development of initiatives to support a thriving Queensland business community.Key Responsibilities:Lead the Chamber's policy agenda, including a program of evidence-based research to underpin the process of policy development on behalf of Queensland business.Interpret and inform policy positions through a deep understanding of the political, economic and social issues impacting Queensland's business community.Manage major advocacy projects as required (e.g. election platforms and budget submissions) with sophisticated policy work and engagement strategies.Lead the Chamber's response to government initiatives, submissions, white papers and the regulatory environment in general.Ensure policy positions are developed through close engagement with members, including relevant committees, working groups and the local and federal chamber network.Engage closely with the business community and conduct policy research to inform and substantiate advocacy.Develop strong data-based research and analytical capability to support policy development.Undertake impact assessments on current and emerging political issues and trends and produce succinct and persuasive policy advocacy positions, analysis, and advice.Develop policy briefs, discussion papers, and research reports.Conceptualise and prepare materials for the Chamber's thought leadership projects.Monitor and evaluate the legislative, parliamentary, and political environment and provide timely briefings and advice to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.About You:We're seeking a dynamic individual who brings:Relevant experience:

deep understanding of the political, economic and social issues impacting Queensland businesses with the ability to translate this information into sophisticated policy positions and advocacy strategies.Relationship management:

proven ability to develop productive working relationships with industry leaders, senior government officials, politicians and other key external and internal stakeholders.Communication:

superior verbal and written communication skills, particularly when it comes to articulating complex policy issues within a business environment.Project management skills:

an ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and deliver results while maintaining critical relationships.Strategic vision:
