Stakeholder Engagement Advisor
Grade: Clerk Grade: 7/8
Location: Sydney
Salary:$106,025 - $117,363 + Superannuation
Employment Type: Temporary (up until 30th June 2025) with the potential to become ongoing.

This role sits within Policy, Strategy and Governance in the Stakeholder and Community Engagement (Have Your Say and Online channels) team.
About the team
The Stakeholder and Community Engagement (Have Your Say and Online channels) team supports the Department of Customer Service by engaging and consulting with industry, community, and government stakeholders. We conduct stakeholder mapping and research, develop targeted communication materials, produce compelling online engagements and coordinate major program communication plans for our departmental partners.
We support stakeholder communications and Have Your Say consultations for NSW Government departments on key topics across project development, program delivery, regulation and legislative reform.
Your day-to-day Develop and implement appropriate engagement and communication plans to engage, consult with and inform external stakeholders on relevant issues.Develop and coordinate communication plans and Have Your Say consultations for NSW Government departments.Conduct stakeholder research and mapping to identify opportunities, risks and issues and appropriate communication channels to inform stakeholder and communication strategies.Provide timely and relevant advice to Managers on stakeholder engagement strategies to inform decision-making and achieve business objectives.Collaborate with other business units and subject matter experts to develop content and deliver effective communications using a range of channels, technologies and methods.Build a sound understanding of and apply learning from engagement activities to respond to emerging issues of stakeholder interest.Stay abreast of the latest insights, practices and capabilities in stakeholder engagement to provide up-to-date and best practice advice to Managers.To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: The ability to coordinate and develop engagement and communication plans.The ability to translate complex information into plain English to improve customer experience.Knowledge of current and emerging trends in communications, especially digital communications and engagement.Experience in communicating complex issues such as industry regulation, legislation and compliance is preferred.Experience in developing engaging content for multiple audience groups using appropriate channels, with an emphasis on building engaging content for online communication platforms, including those platforms relating to online community consultation.What we need from you
