Glencore Mount Isa Mines has an exciting opportunity for a Safety Advisor to join our Smelting and Processing HSEC team.
This position will directly report to the Senior Safety Advisor.

This role is residentially based in Mount Isa and will work 5/2, 4/3 (9-day fortnight) roster.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing practical support which includes but is not limited to: Working closely with front line personnel and leadership teams to plan and implement proactive safety and risk improvement measures.Facilitating and reviewing risk assessments and conducting quality observations to enhance risk assessments used in the field including SLAM's and JSEA's to prevent incidentsPromoting awareness and monitoring compliance to the safety management systems and processesFacilitating incident investigations using the ICAM methodologyProvide support to the operational area and HSEC team with strong customer service to provide proactive solutions and to facilitate effective health and safety management and a positive safety culture.Safety performance reporting, auditing and trend analysisDrive continuous improvement to health/safety performanceDemonstrating a high level of visible leadership with the Processing and Smelting areas The requirements for this position are: Tertiary Safety qualifications (minimum – Diploma) & Risk Management qualifications are highly desirable.Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.Commitment to improving health and safety outcomes.Highly effective communicator through all levels of the businessStrong and effective facilitator Applications Close: 8:00am 16 January 2025
